INCIDENT IN AFGHANISTAN

WHAT: The Chief of the Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, AC, AFC, will hold a media conference to provide comment on an incident in Afghanistan.

WHEN: 9:00am Monday 5 January 09.

WHERE: Russell Offices Building 1, Theatrette.

BACKGROUND:

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) can confirm that on January 4, 2009, a soldier was killed in action during the conduct of an operation.
