Private Gregory Sher, Deployment to East Timor

After undertaking lead-up training in the Northern Territory from mid-to-late 2002, Greg’s regular infantry unit 5/6 RVR attached to 5/7 RAR for deployment to East Timor with Operation Citadel from November 2002 until May 2003.

Ceremony Farewells Digger Mate From Afghanistan

In a solemn ceremony attended by the Chief of the Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal (ACM) Angus Houston, and the Minister for Defence Science and Personnel, Warren Snowdon MP, the body of Private (PTE) Greg Sher was farewelled from the Middle East by Australian troops.
